When we fly and deliver
Zipline has built FlightIQ, a revolutionary autonomy and perception system that is purpose-built to enable Zips to fly, navigate, and deliver smartly and safely. Just like cars have sensors to avoid obstacles, Zips use the FlightIQ sensor suite to enable smart, reliable, safe delivery. FlightIQ helps us do this by deepening our understanding of the airspace we fly, the topography of the land below, and any potential obstacles.

Zipline applies industry-standard tools to blur people who are within the delivery area and outside property lines. FlightIQ does not identify individual people and cannot see things like license plates or inside windows of a home at cruising altitude.

Healthcare data
Avoiding sensitive healthcare data
We don’t need (or seek) access to the contents of your orders to make health system-related deliveries in the U.S. Like many traditional delivery providers, our system is designed to collect only enough information to safely transport your delivery from point A to point B and comply with relevant healthcare laws. We have designed our services not to know what’s inside the Zip making health system deliveries — just the weight, volume, and carriage requirements (like temperature and handling instructions) of the package.
